About Ms. Emanuel
Thank you for visiting my site.  Here is a snapshot of my background:
I was born in Los Angeles, California, and have lived in California all of my life.  My mother was a teacher, and both of my sisters became teachers.  I earned my teaching credentials at Cal State Fullerton, and have taught K, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Special Education, GATE and EL classes.
I was a musician and traveled in an orchestra a long, long, time ago, and play violin, viola and piano (sort of kinda, a little!). However, teaching called me back!  I am married and live with my husband, Steve, our 2 dogs, Ike & Luna, and  our 2 cats, Zoe & Hunter.  I enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, painting, photography and reading.

I love to teach.  I really love being a teacher.  There is nothing in the world more exciting than being able to see the bight smile on a child's face when they finally comprehend a new idea or strategy, make a connection, or realize how smart they really are!
To me, teaching is a calling that requires a lot from the teacher, but also gives back to the giver.  If you love to teach like I do, it is the BEST job in the world!!!
I am honored by your trust and support. I hope we can have a great year learning together!
