Welcome to Lasselle Elementary

Leopard Community,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you and your family to the 2022-2023 school year at Lasselle Elementary. Lasselle is an exceptional school that is full of the most dedicated staff, innovative students, and incredible community members. It is an honor to lead this site for the 2022-2023 school year.

Our mission statement at Lasselle Elementary drives the incredible work that we are invested in for our scholars and community. Our mission statement was built collaboratively with staff and community, it defines our identity and purpose at Lasselle:

“The mission of Lasselle Elementary School is to empower scholars to take ownership of their learning and become productive citizens in an evolving society by creating a safe environment where scholars can grow emotionally, socially, and academically.”

A brief way of stating this is our mantra, “Every Student, Every Day, No Matter What”. As your principal, it is a privilege to serve you, your children, and our incredible staff. It is honor to start my fifth year here at Lasselle. Please know that I am always here to meet with you, hear from you, and collaborate with you. I sincerely love this community and I believe that we are stronger together.

I have attached our bell schedule and site goals for your convenience. All information is also posted on our website: lasselle.valverde.edu. Please connect with us on Class Dojo and follow us on social media: @lassellevvusd. Please make sure your information on Aeries and Parent Portal is updated and correct. This is our main form of communication for grades, attendance, and important events at Lasselle.

**Our first day of school is August 10th.**Gates open at 7:30, breakfast is served for all our scholars. Our instructional bell rings at 8:10 and gates close at 8:15. If your child arrives after 8:15 they need to enter through the front office. Parents are not permitted on campus on the first day of school. We will have plenty of staff available to escort scholars safely to their classes.

**Class lists will be posted on our outside gates on August 9th at 4PM.**Requests to move scholars will not be accepted the first two weeks of school. Parent requests for teacher placement are requests, the site must balance classes and follow state requirements. We appreciate your partnership with this.

It is going to be a fantastic year! My door is always open, and I am always one email or phone call away. It is a blessing to serve this community!
